Bruce Langford-Jones

With a strong background in construction, Bruce started Langford Jones Homes in 1975. Over the last 45 years Bruce has continued to build the business to be the leading home builder in Phillip Island, South Gippsland, Westernport Bay, and the Mornington Peninsula regions, along with dual occupancy and townhouse developments in the Bayside and South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Bruce recently received an Order of Australia (OAM) medal for his contribution to the building industry and to golf. He has been a tireless advocate for the building industry for more than 35 years. A life member of the HIA, he’s also a former HIA national president and HIA national board member. Bruce has chaired HIA’s National Planning Committee as well as the National Skills Initiative for the building industry on behalf of the Federal Government. He chaired the Victorian HIA Training and Development Committee and was a long term member of the Victorian regional executive committee. Bruce has given outstanding service to the industry and in particular to the HIA. Bruce’s OAM was also for services to golf – in particular to his involvement as club captain at both Kingston Heath and Sorrento golf clubs, along with his role as deputy chair at Golf Australia (2006-2012) and broader contributions over more than 25 years.

He is a loyal family man who is passionate about building, golf and football. He is happily married to Robyn and has been living in a bayside suburb of Melbourne for over 40 years. Bruce is now semi-retired.
